Game 1: Lions 9 - Reagan County 4
Christian Villarreal collected four hits in four at bats, as Lions defeated Reagan County
9-4 on Tuesday. Villarreal singled in the second inning, doubled in the fifth inning, singled in the first inning, and singled in the third inning.
Lions got on the board in the bottom of the second inning after Rogelio Estrada singled, Villarreal singled, and JP Garza walked, each scoring one run.
Lions extended their early lead with four runs in the bottom of the third thanks to RBI singles by Dusty Smith and Michael Daniels.
Seth Childress earned the win for Lions. They gave up six hits and three runs over five innings, striking out three and walking two. Garza threw two innings of scoreless ball for Lions in relief. The lefty allowed zero hits, striking out one and walking one.
Lions piled up 12 hits in the game. Daniels and Smith each drove in two runs for Lions.
Trey Preddy and Rielee Barrera each collected multiple hits for Lions. Lions were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Daniels had the most chances in the field with five.
Game 2: Lions 22 - Reagan County 11
Both Lions and Reagan County had their offenses going on Saturday, but Lions eventually prevailed 22-11. Lions collected 19 hits, while Reagan County had 10.
Christian Villarreal collected five hits in six at bats in the win. Villarreal singled in the second inning, singled in the seventh inning, singled in the seventh inning, and singled in the fourth inning.
Reagan County opened the scoring in the bottom of the first thanks to two singles.
Reagan County first got on the board when #23 singled, scoring one run.
Lions flipped the game on its head in the top of the second, scoring five runs on two hits to take a 5-2 lead. The biggest blow in the inning was a triple by Hudson Fowler that drove in two.

Lions scored 12 runs on nine hits in the top of the seventh inning. #27 induced Dusty Smith to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored, Villarreal singled, scoring one run, Jacoby Ramos singled, scoring two runs, Rielee Barrera singled, scoring one run, Seth Childress singled, scoring two runs, Barrera scored after tagging up, Smith singled, scoring one run, Villarreal singled, scoring one run, and JP Garza singled, scoring two runs.
Barrera earned the win for Lions. They gave up eight hits and eight runs (three earned) over five innings, striking out none and walking none. #21 took the loss for Reagan County. The starting pitcher went five innings, giving up 10 runs (six earned) on nine hits, striking out three and walking three. Fowler appeared in relief for Lions.
Lions accumulated 19 hits in the game. Trey Preddy collected three hits for Lions in four at bats. Villarreal and Smith each stole multiple bases for Lions. Lions stole 10 bases in the game. Lions turned one double play in the game.
